The Therapeutic Play Foundation provides counseling and therapy services via telehealth and in person and we accept some insurances. We also accept private pay clients and have reduced rate options.
Some in-person sessions may be offered for those needing intensive interventions; particularly school-aged children who would benefit from in-person play therapy. This is determined on a case by case basis and is up to the provider and client. Social distancing rules apply due to COVID-19.
If you are in need of resources such as a counselor for a mental health crisis, or would benefit from a parent or educational consult for your children regarding an IEP or difficulties with family dynamics - we are here for you, with a team of mental health professionals that have experience working with families and children.

Mental Health is something we all aim to have. Mental Illness occurs when we are not taking care of our mental health. We know that some of us have never learned the difference.
Often the world itself can create toxic stress that impacts our minds, bodies and spirits. Playfulness is a way to counteract maladaptive thinking and unhealthy habits by encouraging a balance in the nervous system and a decrease in cortisol, the stress hormone.
We seek to be a safe space.
To sign up for mental health services, please click the “Submit an Intake for Counseling Services” button below. To express interest in attending a scheduled or future Community Play Date, please click the “Sign Up for a Workshop or Group” link below. You will be contacted to confirm meeting date, location and time.
Both links advise you to submit a name and email address and you will be directed to set up a login with a system called Intake Q where you will fill out the forms. This protocol is in place so that information submitted remains secure.
Most Community Play Dates and Face to Face Counseling sessions take place on site, in community or at a partner organization.
